I don’t know about you, but I can’t stop thinking about how our lives and our careers will change in the coming months, and honestly, I still don’t really know what the heck I’m going to do. All I know is that I miss my clients. I miss working in my studio (AKA my son’s makeshift sales office). I miss networking with other professional women. I miss it all (except bookkeeping…I still hate that).

I get to photograph amazing women, who work hard to create a good life for themselves and their families. I keep them in my prayers and hope they’re doing okay. I worry about the ones who own businesses and pour their hearts and souls in to building them. Some will weather the storm, but many won’t, and that’s tragic. I know the pain of losing a business, and it’s rough.

I’ve got nothing good to say about this virus, and I hate that so many people have been sick and dying. But I take comfort in the fact that we’re resilient and we’ll find a way around that big boulder in the road.

I don’t know how everything will work out, but I am 100 percent certain that we’ll get through it. Human beings are just hardwired to survive and evolve, which is comforting.
