Long before the day of your photoshoot, you and I will have a wardrobe consultation and I’ll help you plan the clothing and accessories for your session. We’ll cover a full range of looks from casual, to business attire, and even glamorous–whatever your heart desires. You’re going to be confident that your wardrobe is perfect for the photoshoot.
Every session begins with some major pampering–you’ll be transformed with hair and makeup by one of my highly-skilled stylists. It’s not about “changing” who you are, it’s all about capturing your personality and style. We pay close attention to what you want and then make sure you’re happy with the way you look.
My superpower is helping clients relax in front of my camera. You won’t have to worry about anything other than having fun, because I’ll guide you through every wardrobe change and every pose.
You’ll want to make plans to go out and celebrate after your photoshoot, because you’re going to look and feel fabulous!
What To Expect
Step 1 – Complimentary Consultation
Let’s schedule a convenient time for you and I to chat online or meet at my Issaquah studio. There’s no obligation to book a photoshoot, this is just an opportunity for you and I to get to know each other, and to decide if I’m the photographer for you. You can see my studio and learn about my products and pricing. At that point, if you’re happy with everything, you can choose a date for your photoshoot.
Step 2 – Book Your Photoshoot
Photoshoots bookings are available Monday through Friday. We start at 10 a.m., and finish between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., depending on the type of photoshoot and the number of people being photographed. A session fee is due at the time of booking your photoshoot.
Step 3 – Book Your Wardrobe Consultation
Once we secure your photoshoot date, it’s time to book your wardrobe consultation. I recommend that any other adults being photographed with you either participates during your consultation, or does their own consultation with me. I’ll discuss the children’s wardrobe with their parent. You are welcome to visit my studio for your consultation, or we can do it online, whichever is most convenient for you. If you would like to use any pieces from my wardrobe, it’s recommended that you come to the studio for fitting during your consultation.
During your consultation, we’ll cover everything from the style of photos we’re going to capture, the colors we want to focus on, the style of clothing you’ll be wearing, the selection and fit for individual pieces, shapewear and under garments. I’ll make sure you’re not stressed out about what to wear, and you’ll be fully prepared for the day of your photoshoot.
Step 4 – Your Session Day
You’re going to be a Queen for the Day! When you arrive at my studio, it’s time for some serious pampering. You’ll be offered refreshments and settle in to the makeover station with my professional hair & makeup artist . She will help you decide what you want to look like in your photos. She’ll make sure you’re completely happy with your transformation. This is a really special experience, and we want to make sure it’s exactly what you want. If you don’t know what you want, that’s okay too. We will help you and make recommendations.
When you’re ready, we will begin the photoshoot, and I will guide you through every wardrobe change and every pose on my sets. You won’t have to worry about anything other than having fun! You’re going to look amazing, so I recommend that you make plans to celebrate after the photoshoot!
Step 5 – Photo Reveal Session
Right after your photoshoot, we’ll book a time that’s convenient for you to return in approximately three weeks for your photo reveal session. This is a special time for you to see your images and to take your time making your selection. It’s really important that your full focus is on your photos, so I don’t permit children under the age of 13. It’s also really important to bring anyone who will be helping you make the purchasing decision. We’ll cover that in your consultation to make sure they educated about the whole process too.
Portraits are sold separately from the session fee, and individual images start at $295 and portrait collections start at $1650. Your purchase will include both a printed/matted version and a corresponding high-resolution file for each portrait you choose.
My promise to you is that you won’t be pressured to purchase anything. The decision about what you spend is completely up to you. I don’t like being pressured when I’m purchasing, so I don’t pressure my clients!
